Revealed the Japanese company Toshiba unveiled what they said it the fastest type of memory cards SD in the world, data transfer speeds of up to 240 Mbps. She said that the new cards Exceria Pro Series is designed for professional users, especially photographers who need a high-speed cards allow to capture high-resolution images and store them very quickly, and new cards will be available with 16, 32 and 64 GB.

The company said it will be cards in the markets over the next October, while Toshiba didn’t tell about the official rates have, however, Japanese media talked about 25 thousand yen (about $ 250) as the price of the card with a capacity of 64 GB in local markets, and 15 thousandyen (about $ 150) for the card with a capacity of 16 GB.

According to  Toshiba that new memory cards is the first memory cards up to the market compatible with standard UHS-II, which provides speeds theory up to 312 MB ​​per second, and the “Association of ASD”, the body responsible for setting standards SD storage has announced standard UHS-II in the beginning of the year 2011.

Toshiba said it also plans to launch another set of memory cards based on the same standard and larger storage spaces but it is slower in terms of speed, where write speeds will be up to 120 MB per second and a read speed of up to 260 Mbps.
