Penetrate The Social Networking Accounts Via Browsers Add-ons

“Trend Micro” for security solutions,discovered a malicious browser’s add-ons on “Chrome” and “Firefox” that can infiltrate user systems  and hijack social media accounts specifically,Facebook,Google+ and Twitter accounts.

The company explained through its official blog that the add-ons takes the form of “Google Chrome” and “Firefox” add-ons ,to trick users to download.

The malicious files can control the user accounts on the three social networks “Facebook” and “Twitter” and “Google Plus” and published posts and links without the consent of the user, as you can like or follow pages and follow-up users without the knowledge of the account holder.

The company confirmed that the hackers have added a trusted electronic signature for these files in order to facilitate its mission in control of the user accounts on the three social networks easily without being discovered by antivirus software and malware.

The company explained that these add-ons do not exist on other browsers such as “Internet Explorer” or “Oprah” or “Safari”.
